Fed TCC

Need a clarification on the loading of photons on the Fed TCC. The Fed gets eight 'free' points of photon loading at the beginning of a game. Okay, got that. So if I'm the Fed, its T1 in EA and I want full overloads on all tubes and apply two free warp point per tube. I would then only need to apply two points of warp power to each tube from the ship and that would complete the loading?

Fed OLs

You start with held standards (1 point to hold each). You get to assume 8 points of free OL energy, which is either 4x half overloads or 2x full overloads. So you assume, instead, that you start with 2 full OLs (2 points to hold each) and 2 standards (1 point to hold each). If you then want to fully OL the other two torps in EA during T1, you need to put 4 more power into each of the two standard torps. So your ea would look something like this:

Torp A: 2 (hold OL 16)
Torp B: 2 (hold OL 16)
Torp C: 1+4 (hold STD, 4 points OL)
Torp D: 1+4 (hold STD, 4 points OL)

For a total of 14 power.

If you wanted to start out with all of them half overloaded, you could do that, and it would look like this:

Torp A: 1.5+2 (hold OL 12, 2 points OL)
Torp B: 1.5+2 (hold OL 12, 2 points OL)
Torp C: 1.5+2 (hold OL 12, 2 points OL)
Torp D: 1.5+2 (hold OL 12, 2 points OL)

Which is also 14 power.

Often, however, the Fed will only fully OL 3 of the torps on T1 in the name of keeping their speed up, something like hold 2 full OLs (4 power), fully OL the third (5 power), hold the 4th as a standard (1 power) for 10 total power. And if it gets a good shot on T1, OL the 4th with batteries. Otherwise, OL it on T2.
